Let's Be Boring Together!
In my last post, I talked about how Christians shouldn't be boring. But you know what? That's too exciting. I say we embrace the boring Christian stereotype!
Who needs thrills and adventures when we could sit around together and watch paint dry?
Instead of sharing the gospel and serving others, let's see how long we can stare at a blank wall in silence!
I'm kidding, of course.
The truth is, our faith in Christ opens us up to live vibrant, purposeful lives.
As Christians, we're called to share God's hope and love with others in creative, meaningful ways.
Yes, we should pursue righteousness and avoid sinful indulgences.
But that just frees us up for even greater joy, curiosity and childlike wonder in our walk with Jesus.
His love is the most exciting, unboring thing in the world!
It defeats sin and death and opens up eternal life.
Now that's a story worth sharing and living out.
So let's embrace the exciting mission God gave us.
The world needs Christians who aren't boring but are filled with contagious joy.
Our lives should point people to Jesus - not make them want to sleep!
What do you think? Should we aim to be boring Christians? Let me know in the comments!
