Unshakable Realities: The "Sure Things" in Isaiah
The Prophet Isaiah lived in a time of political upheaval and social unrest, much like our own. Yet, throughout his prophecy, he points to a coming King who provides "sure things" for His people.
A Sure Place (Isaiah 22:23): Christ is the nail fastened in a sure place. He is our support. When everything else is shifting, we can hang the weight of our lives and our families on Him.
A Sure Foundation (Isaiah 28:16): God laid in Zion a "tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation." He is our Rock. If your life is built on Him, the storms may come, but the foundation will never crumble.
A Sure Covering (Isaiah 32:2): In Christ, we find a defense. He is a hiding place from the wind and a covert from the tempest. He protects us from the spiritual elements that seek to destroy us.
A Sure Supply (Isaiah 33:16): Our spiritual bread and water are made sure in Him. He is our Life. We never have to worry about the "well running dry" when we are tapped into the resource of Christ.
A Sure Resource (Isaiah 55:3): God promises the "sure mercies of David." This is our confidence. Even when we fail, His covenant mercy is an inexhaustible resource.
